The stress of an upcoming job interview is pushing Dorrie to breaking point. She’s always lived in her sister’s shadow and this is her one chance to prove herself. Now she’s locked herself in her bedroom and won’t let anyone in. Despite her Mum and sister’s desperate attempts, Dorrie is stuck reliving the events of the past weeks. She’s spiralling, but it seems the only person who can pull her out of this is herself.

For this very special film, my roles included production designer, costumes, hair and makeup as well as posters.
This drama short film delves into deeper themes of mental health issues, womanhood and the mix of distorted memories and realities, so for production design it was a mixture between maximalism and minimalism aesthetics to showcase that idea. I loved doing over the top, bright and colourful makeup, costumes and set dressings to really bring this idea to life.
